Some of you expressed interest in my previous hard drive mod, so I thought I would post up my latest one.

Taking suggestions from some of the readers, I made this one able to hang on a wall, and didn’t sniff so much of the airplane glue before using it. (Sorry, no wood frame). Also, I used silicone RTV to adhere the drive platter to the clock face, since it seemed to stick to that surface better.

This one was given as a gift to my mother. She says that now, when someone asks her why a server is down, she points at her wall and says “Thats why”.
