Recently I’ve been pretty disinterested in politics on anything other than a reactionary level for..well, let’s be honest, years now. But then MeFi had a couple of interesting links today which, you know, kinda make me want to actually vote.
Weird, right? The first one is called What Are You Voting For?, an online comic with citations. I find the notion of a “Great NeoCon Conspiracy” as laughable as I find the “Vast Liberal Media Conspiracy” notion, but I still think the comic raises some troubling points. The second link is an article by everyone’s favorite political screecher, Howard Dean, about the possibility of a draft. Just thinking about a draft makes my testicles ascend and snuggle deeply within my abdominal cavity.
Then again there are two other good reasons to vote: F The Vote and Votergasm. They may be old but they’re still good! Who woulda thought sex and politics could mix?
