So I was chatting today with someone and the subject of pheromones came up. I was being told that semen contains pheromones that are supposed to turn on women. This doesn’t make logical sense to me. It would seem to me that by the time the semen is out where the pheromone can be taken advantage of, its about 30 seconds too late to be thinking about turning the woman on. Of course, maybe it explains the jokes about women always wanting to talk and snuggle after sex? At any rate, a quick google search reveals that semen may contain pheromones, but it doesn’t specify that it is necessarily sending a mating call to prospective women that somehow manage to smell your dirty laundry. Hopefully some further research will dispell this myth before the following situation happens too often:
Man: Hey baby. You wanna make fuck? Woman: Not right now. I’m not really in the mood. Man: No problem. I can get you in the mood really fast. *Man reaches underneath the bed and pulls out a semen encrusted shirt* Man: I’ve been saving this up for weeks. Smell this. Woman: Be quiet Dad. Mom will hear us.
Hopefully no one decides to research pheromones in smegma.
