Remember: when you hear someone argue against “tampering” with the “sacred” institution of marriage by allowing gays to marry, they mean one of two things: 1) The speaker is against inter-racial marriage 2) The “institution of marriage” dates all the way back to 1967 You might want to ask which, because there’s really no third option. (The proper response to those who suggest that gay marriage will be legalized by “activist judges” is left as an exercise for the reader.)
