Grand Theft Auto San Andreas save games

November 15th, 2008 by Clme · 13 Comments

With the news that Grand Theft Auto IV is coming to PC in December I started to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas again.

One of the last times I had played through the game I thought I’d download some save files and start with all of the ‘tags’ spray painted. Unfortunately, I found out that my version of GTA:SA is release 2.0, which means that the 1.0 and 1.1 save files will not play in it.

So I created new version 2.0 save files, and I’m sharing the files with you.

Save file 1: All 100 tags, pimping levels complete, and firefighter missions complete (fireproof).

Save file 2: All 100 tags, and pimping missions completed.

Save file 3: All 100 tags.

In order to use these files, download them and place them in your GTA San Andreas User Files directory (normally in your ‘My Documents’ folder).

Penismightier.com can not be held responsible for any damage that occurs to your computer or game.

Update: Additional files posted Here!. Enjoy.

Make sure you’re using version 2. I’m not certain these games will work with version 1.x.

There should be a folder named “GTA San Andreas User Files” in your My Documents folder that you can put the save game in. After its in there, start the game and start the saved game. The slot number will match up with the appropriate save game name. So GTASAsf4.b will be in slot 4. GTASAsf3.b will be in slot 3, and so on.

I’m afraid I cant help much more than that. The save files are offered with no guarantees, and I cant claim to be an expert. Good luck!

P.S: If you’re playing this game in Windows Vista it will only work if you use “Run As Administrator”. Unfortunately since this game was written well before Vista came out a few workaround are needed. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22Run+as+administrator%22+vista&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

I don’t know how to save gtasa on vista

  • 8 Clme // Jun 13, 2009 at 1:51 am

As long as you are using “Run As Administrator” then saving games in Vista will be identical.

The save game location will be in a different place though.

    Typical location in XP:
c:\documents and settings\(username)\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

    Typical location in Vista:
    c:\users\(username)\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

    Good luck.

    What OS are you running?

Do you see the “GTA San Andreas User Files” folder?

If you’re using a compatibility mode, which one are you using and why are you using it?

Do you get any error messages? Does the game crash on loading the files? Does everything work but the saves just do not show up?

It depends on what your mother looks like. I hardly ever say no though.
