Comfortable With Conformity

February 20, 2001 Ok, I'm not so tired now so I'll fill you all in on the test and my cunt of a teacher. This is stupid bitch gave us a test, more than half the class failed, and by god, I'm doing something about it. I e-mailed that letter to the head of the journalism department, then I copied it and mass e-mailed it to everyone in class. I got some replies from the students-- some "thank you so much for doing this", and some "i agree with you completely" e-mails. I was kinda nervous about getting nasty e-mails, because there actually were a handful of students who thought the test was fair and easy. However, when the grade sheet was passed out in class, I saw that the highest score was an 80, with 78 and 70 trailing in as the second and third highest. So my question for those classmates who thought the test was "fair and easy" is, why the hell didn't you score at least a 90? But whatever. In a way, I respect those students who refused to jump on the bandwagon with the rest of us, because it showed that they actually had convictions of their own, even if I don't agree with them. So the head of the journalism department wrote back to me this morning, claiming he would talk to Prof. H about the test. I really, really, really hope he read the part of the letter where I wrote that the test itself might indeed be fair, but she didn't prepare us properly for it. I secretly hope he agrees with Prof. H that we "just didn't study enough", so I can take this up with the president of the university, contact the school paper, and notify all the local news stations. Yes, I'm really serious about this. And since I have no job, it's not like I don't have the time. |
