Comfortable With Conformity

September 25th I drove straight to Olympia Gym after work and got me a membership; short term, three months, $165 plus tax. I have 30 days to decide if I want to upgrade to 6 months or a year. I love gyms. The atmophere really makes you want to work out. I surveyed the vast rows of treadmills, bikes, and stair climbers and beamed from ear to ear. The other side of the gym held the weight training machines and sit-up boards, and an adjacent room had free weights and benches. Downstairs was a big room lined with bikes for spinning classes. I think it's amazing how much I've ballooned since the "incident". I have a feeling Paxil is contributing to my weight gain. I'm at a point where I wear big shirts over stretchy pants with elastic waists, instead of tight little sleeveless tops and tight jeans. Being fat has changed my entire life. I no longer like to go out with my friends, because I don't feel attractive anymore and I can't find anything that looks good on me. I have hit bottom, and the gym is my way up. |
