It sucks that you don't have a button link to assholecynic and pissedoffbastard because they link you, and they are very cool sites. If
you need the buttons I can send them to you. I actually contribute to PissedoffBastard
on occasion (once so far) and you can learn why I am such a bitch if you go there (by
the way, it's a brand new site, so don't complain that it's shitty).

Jimbo, I don't know you, and obviously you don't know me. Eod had stated that he was
soliciting input for new site design, he then said don't just say this sucks, say why it
sucks and try to suggest a way to make it not suck (paraphrasing, forgive me Eod). The
above post was made in jest, not as a serious 'you suck'. I love this site, it makes me
laugh. I enjoy the techie nonsense that I read here as well as the humor. I was under
the assumption that most of the guys here had a pretty good sense of humor, guess I
was wrong. And you can take your honey and vinegar and shove it straight up your ass,
cause I'm not attracting any flies.

Did I mention that I just drove in rush hour traffic and I'm not in a very good mood?

The point is that the time stamp doesn't matter, I have no honest to goodness
suggestions on the design, mostly because I'm not sure exactly how you guys want the
page to look, and I'm not a web designer. The first post was simply an attempt at humor
after Eod's request that complaints come with a suggestion on how to fix what sucks.
The second was just me being sarcastic. That's what I'm here for. If you don't like it,
sorry.

Wether you see it or not (much as I didn't see the sarcasm, I guess) you post does have
many resemblences to the example I cited above:

In your post, you made a statment about something. The something did not sound
sarcastic or jokelike at all... and even sounded kind of like an actual suggestion. Then
you take everything back with the parenthetical statement at the bottom.

In the following example "You suck... Just kidding!!" the statement can in no way be seen
as a joke. At least not until the two words following the elipses...

The reason I even bothered to reply was the parenthetical statement at the bottom.

By the way: I HATE the phrase "get over it." Just as I dont have to read your posts, you

Here is where you're misunderstanding, the parenthetical statement was not meant to
'take it back', it was meant to clarify. There was nothing to take back, the entire
suggestion was not serious. It was made as a joke, because the time stamp on message
boards has absolutely nothing to do with the site redesign. There had been rumblings
about fonts earlier, which also has nothing to do with the site's content. I was making
fun of that, not seriously suggesting that the time stamp be changed. I did NOT IN ANY
WAY say that the site sucks, and your insistance that I did is beginning to make me
wonder about your basic reading comprehension skills, there is a difference between
saying that you suck and that something about you sucks. You suck simply because you
do, and nothing can change that. Your reading skills suck, but if you were to work on
them they might improve. The site does not suck, the fact that there is no button link to assholecynic or pissedoffbastard sucks.

Again, it is way past my bedtime, I may be taking things too personally, or may be
getting annoyed by things which would otherwise not get under my skin. Or maybe I'm
just a bitch.

Just for the record:
I never said she hates the site. I dont think she'd be this offended if she did. I used the example of two boys saying they hate each other...thats all. It was a poor example but thats all it was.
I also dont think that the "dont just say this site sucks" comments were directed specifically at her.

But...
For christs sake, if you want your page linked send it to eod. He makes all of those decisions. If he doesn't link it after that, its solely because he doesn't like it.

As for my reading skills:
huked on fonics werked fir me.

I still see no sarcasm or joke in any of it.

Seriously guys, I really think she was just joking around about the whole link thing. She isn't like vulgus filter (100 emails with the subject "LIKN ME NOW!!!!!111").. But once a flame is started its hard not to pour more gasoline on it.

If, however, you are no longer a part of it I'm not all that interested. His stuff was never interesting enough to maintain the site on its own.

I did check out assholecynic the other day just for shits and giggles and was pleasantly surprised.

As for dredging up old threads, I was merely keeping with the theme this morning there. Seems we had complete strangers (or strange IP's, anyway) doing it for a while too.
