Yes folks, if I was l33t I would set up a poll, but an imfomal poll will have to do. Here's the dealio:
First off, OSHA would be the "Occupational Safety & Health Administration - US Dept. of Labor" for those of you unfamiliar with it.
Second & 3rd & 4th and so on, my working conditions suck ass, and no amount of complaining on my part seems to accomplish anything. ~SHOCK~
And to define "suck ass" for you, my office temperatures generally hovers in the 75-82F range, my office chair is of such poor quality, that combined with my sad lack of exercise I am developing a nice case of random back spasms. My work station is so non-ergo that I can't even describe it (but let's just say that I have the random patches of tingly/non-sensitive areas in my forearms that all the kids are raving about), and the real kicker, is that I work in a basement with no windows (read: no outside air/light).
So while none of these offenses seem to have a real knockout punch, here's one for ya. We have no real fire exits for the 50 or so people who work in the basement of DOOM.
And for that last one only, I am sure OSHA would come in and bust heads. But I'm not sure how hard. I could see them fining my company, possibly threatening to shut it down or what have you. (Any OSHA workers reading this?)
But all this is actually just to get a shot at getting back at my crapweasel boss, who has been blowing me off about giving me an Ergo-Lumbar type non-crippling chair. Last week he finally said we would get said chairs, only to go back on said offer by saying "I never said that." REALLY?
I put it to you, dear readers, to cousel me in my hours and hours of need. While I still am equipped with upright-walking and opposable-thumb using action, should I make my move and call down the MAN?
