4 year old daughter? is bitchgoddess a MILF? having played black and white for a few days now, i feel like a proud parent myself. my tiger is 4 years old now. allow me to regail you with some stories. one day i decided to teach my tiger to cast the lightening spell. i showed him how to set trees and villagers on fire, and he seemed to be learning, although he isnt the smartest thing in the world. he quicky reaffirmed my believe that he has a chemical imbalance when he set himself on fire and ran around in a state of amockness. So of course, i had to teach the li'l guy how to do the water spell so that he could douse his fur the next time he's alight. teaching your tiger to not poop against buildings is also fun, but teaching him to fling his poop into the ocean is even funner. and there's nothing cuter than watching your baby tiger run to the nearest kindgergarten when he's in a playful mood. one time he did this when the villagers were scared of him and the children ran away screaming. my tiger covered his face with his paws and wept. fen -as far as i can figure, black and white is a collection of experiences that people feel compelled to share. these experiences usually involve some sort of animal or villagers, or magic and a big floating hand. somehow, *somehow*, these collective social experiences have been packaged into a few millions line of c++ code. quite amazing, really. the head creator dude of this game has said that black & white is not what you think it is. he was right. black & white is not a game. it's ... it's an outlet for mankind's collective consiousness, and it compells people to talk about it and make other people want to try it. OOOH, black & white is a meme! look it up. IP: Logged |

Wtf is up with black links on dark-turd-brown background? Especially since every tenth word in a post is a link, I have to highlight the posts like I was going to cut and paste them just to be able to read the words that are links. Very sucky sucky. Need fixing, need fixing much quick-like. Suggestion: in the head area of the page where it currently reads quote: a{text-decoration:none}
instead make it read quote: a{color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: none; font-weight:bold}
This will make links show up as white and bold, which will contrast nicely without glaring, given the dirty-cream color of the post text. Um, by the way, I just now noticed the *existence* of the post titles and timestamps... also in Basic Black. Might wanna do something about those too. IP: Logged |

quote: This also pertains to childproof lighters. They suck, I know, but most of them now don't take much effort to figure out. You either push a button in, or over, or the mechanism is designed to only work with a certain amount of manual dexterity which children do not possess. Unfortunately, drunks don't possess that kind of dexterity either, but oh well, use matches. If I remove the childproofing, tell you how, or allow someone to remove the childproofing from a lighter in my presence, I lose my job, get another hefty fine, and my company gets sued by tons of child advocates across the country.
I personally prefer to think of the "child-proof" lighters as test of IQ rather than as a test of manual dexterity. Frankly - much like "child-proof" caps - I don't know of many children that CAN'T operate them. (How many times have you seen a parent hand a "child-proof" bottle to their kid and tell them "open this for me?") I do, however, strongly believe that anyone who is incapable of figuring out how to permanently remove the "child-proofing" mechanism for a lighter all by themselves is insufficiently intelligent to be trusted with fire. Thanks for your input, I don't mess with the formatting of the site, but I will pass your suggestions on to Tical. This is only our second attempt at web design, our first is at http://foleygod.tripod.com the PoB TFC clan site. Tical just changed the colors the other day, honestly I like it better red, but it's his site. Maybe they should add childproof lighter operation to IQ tests, it would probably be a pretty good indicator. You have no idea how many people can't figure out how to operate the over and up ones. I steer them towards the Bics, their childproofing is passive, and only requires that you have adult manual dexterity (the wide metal strip in the center keeps children from being able to light them). ------------------ ~Bitch~ IP: Logged |

It's all about a jewelers screwdriver (flathead preferred) and a small set of needlenose pliers.Always remember to avoid purchasing the ones that blew up last time. I also feel it is discriminatory to children to have to get an adult to light something on fire. 50% of my fondest childhood memories involve fire. IP: Logged |

When I was a kid, we got hooked on roasting marshmallows during a campout. For weeks afterwards my best friend and I lit candles in my room and toasted them there. We probably could have started a fire, I think we were about 10, but it was so much fun! And if they had made lighters childproof then, we would have had no problems bypassing the little buttons. Our fifth grade teacher was teaching us how to build electric doodads at the time, those were a lot more dangerous than a lighter...IP: Logged |
