Before you are three crates containing fruit. The first is labeled "Cherries", the second is labeled "Bananas", and the last is labeled
"Cherries and Bananas." All three are incorrectly labeled, and it is your
job to put the correct labels on the correct crates. The only problem is that you are only allowed to take one piece of fruit from one crate to determine which box has what.
Please remember to show your work.

Well, it's a good chance you will pick a banana since cherries are small and will more than likely gather at the bottom. Therefore, tho one you pick a cherry from will obviously be cherries.
The banana crate and bananas and cherries crate thing has got me stumped, unless you can feel around BEFORE you pick the ONE fruit.IP: Logged |

Ok, take a piece of fruit from the box labeled cherries and bananas. Since it's incorrectly labeled, you know the piece you have is indicative of the entire box. Using a cherry as an example:1) Cherries and bananas now becomes cherries.
2) Box formerly known as cherries must be bananas because bananas is also incorrectly labeled and thats the only place to move the label.
3) Thus the box labeled bananas becomes cherries and bananas. Am I right?

You take a 98-percent concentration of fuming nitric acid and add the acid to three times that amount of sulfuric acid. Do this in an ice bath. Then add glycerin drop-by-drop with an eye dropper. You have nitroglycerin. IP: Logged |

Hmm... I'm guessing when you open one of the crates to take out a piece of fruit you can look inside. So, with that in mind, we start.[ Crate 1 ]Cherries
[ Crate 2 ]Bananas
[ Crate 3 ]Cherries and Bananas You open Crate 2 to take out a piece of fruit. Since it is open you look inside and pull out a banana, but you can also see some cherries. You remove the labels from Crate 3 and Crate 2. You then place the label from Crate 3 onto Crate 2. [ Crate 1 ]Cherries
[ Crate 2 ]Cherries and Bananas
[ Crate 3 ] Since all the labels are wrong, Crate 1 has to contain bananas and Crate 3 has to contain cherries. So take the label from Crate 1 and place it on Crate 3. [ Crate 1 ]
[ Crate 2 ]Cherries and Bananas
[ Crate 3 ]Cherries Finally, place the label that was on Crate 3 onto Crate 1. [ Crate 1 ]Bananas
[ Crate 2 ]Cherries and Bananas

i like cherries. i dont like bananas, for obvious reasons. they just hurt.there's an ad that's recently been on display on toronto subways. the ad is for some sort of crunchy snack. what get's me is what the ad consists of, which is simply a picture of the snack, and the words: "Beavers Chew Wood.
