eod suggested that I start a new thread so people won't have to search thru the old posts.. so here are the last 3 riddles remaining and my responce to what people said before. To address everyone - yea, these riddles are sort of vague.. but the answers make more sense than the ones you have suggested. The reason the answer to #9 is "dozens" and not "thirteen" is because when you take the "s" out of "dozen" you have a dozen, or twelve. You can't take a letter out of the word "thirteen" and leave 12. But I see what you are saying. As for #10.. it cant be "air" because air isnt really a part of us(that being the human body) It could be heat.. but the realy answer makes more sense... When does energy leave our bodies? If you believe the soul is enegry and when you die it's released than yea.. but wouldnt the energy goto "heaven" and not the world? #12 is still unanswered.. 2 more to go. I will repeat them. 7:]You must keep this thing, its loss will affect your brothers. For once yours is lost, it will soon be lost by others. 10:]It is a part of us, and then replaced. It escapes our bodies, to a better place. The world becomes its sizable home; its passions unrestraint, the planet it roams. What is it? 12:]Always invisible, yet never out of sight. What are they? Okay, let's guess again...10. Skin? (I swear I read somewhere that most dust is old flaked-off skin... eventually the little particles could get anywhere. *shrug*) 12. Windows? N2 molocules? Hell, I don't know. IP: Logged |

#10 isnt "skin" since what would be the better place for it to go?#12 isnt windows or N2 molecules.. I won't even attempt to try to explain why the second one is wrong. Windows aren't really invisible.. IP: Logged |

Ok, for #10. I was thinking breath because you take it in, the O2 becomes a part of you and then when you exhale, it joins the wind and can go anywhere.I guess along a similar line, it could be water. ARGH Patience and "losing ones head" is so close to temper! The one damn word I couldn't think of! ARGH Congrats Eod. IP: Logged |

I don't like having only 1 riddle left... so time for some.. somewhat diffecult riddles and some easy ones. I think this may be the last batch.... 13:]What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a head but never weeps? 14:]No sooner than spoken, broken. 15:]Feed me and I live, give me a drink and I die. 16:]I pass before the sun, yet make no shadow. What am I? IP: Logged |

Here's a few I've found:666) I guarantee," said the salesman in the pet shop, "that this purple parrot will repeat every word it hears." A customer bought the bird, but found that the parrot wouldn't speak a single word. Nevertheless, what the salesman said was true. How could this be? 667) You are at a river. With you are a Chicken, Bag of Grain, and a Wolf. You have to cross the river in your canoe but can only take one with you at a time. You can't leave the chicken with the grain. He'll eat it. You can't leave the wolf with the chicken. He'll eat it. How do you get everything over and intact? 668) Rearrange the following letters to make just one word. SOWUODTERNJ (yeah, these are easy, but hell, they're riddles). IP: Logged |

#12 isnt germs... I know the parrot one.. I heard it a while ago.. don't remember though... As for the crossing the river one... Take the chicken over, go back, eat the bag of grain, bring the wolf over on yer second trip. (I think thats right) The last one.. no clue "if i were a farmer id probally farm corn"

ack didnt read the "intact" part of 667... I dunno how that'd work then. There's a hitch though..If you bring the grain, you leave the chicken and wolf. If you bring the wolf, you leave the chicken and grain. If you bring the chicken, you'd leave the grain and wolf. However, you'd still have to bring either the grain or the wolf during the next trip.. so that would cancel it out. There's something there though.. some sort of weird way to do it... I know there is IP: Logged |

666) Sounds like the parrot is deaf. 667) Carry the chicken to side B, leaving the wolf with the grain on side A. Go back and bring the bag of grain to side B. However, when you return for the wolf, take the chicken with you. Leave the chicken on the Side A, take the wolf and leave him with the grain side B. Then go back and get the chicken a second time.

Okay, maybe they're *not* so easy. =) I seriously thought they'd get solved in ~5 minutes.I have one other riddle that is really hard; I can't remember the solution, and I'm not sure if I even have the problem right. Anyway, here it is: 420) Three missionaries are travelling with three cannibals when they come across a river. They need to cross this river, but the only way to do so is by using a two-man canoe. The problem here is that if the cannibals ever outnumber the missionaries, they will overcome them and have some tasty stew. How does the group get across? IP: Logged |

i'm all over the chicken grain and wolf one.ok first you take the chicken over then you go back and grab the grain then head back to the chicken, drop the grain off then take the chicken back to the other side (where the wolf is) then you drop the chicken off and take the wolf over to the grain side then head back once more and grab the chicken and take it over.
