Ooooh, you said IM service. My bad. I'm all about the AIM. ICQ blows, but I do have it. And I like the old-sk00l feel of mIRC. But 95% of my waking time is spent on AIM, so I guess my heart lies with them.

I'd have to say aim just because it has an extremely low overhead and pretty good message/send to message/receive ratio compared to like icq, which you have to sit and wait for it to send the message.. ICQ is like mini emails and AIM is like actual chat.

I have MSN and ICQ, I prefer ICQ, but lately the porn spam is getting on my nerves. I don't use it very much, but hey it's free and it keeps my long distance bill down.

Used to use ICQ (I have a sub-million number... I'm that cool), but eventually it just got out of control in terms of memory. It decided that it would load the ENTIRE chat history of everyone on your list into memory. Not cool at all. And backing up that stuff was a pain.

Plus all my friends were on AIM, and it has a nice chat window style.

I like AIM, which is what I use most of the time. If I am going to play some TFC or UT or Kingpin then I use ICQ because AIM lags me too much... god I hate 56K. One more year left though...
I'll use Polaris(mIRC) if I want to gank some files from people I know who are on it and run an fserve.

Polaris is a nice mirc script hack. I also use that when trading on fserves. Which reminds me, after we finish moving we'll have to reopen the penIs irc room. Maybe throw in a few fserves.
