Maybe its just me, maybe its not, but for all the effort, thought and willpower one would think that it would not be really really hard about getting a lady-friend who can speak more than, oh, I don't know, words that contain 2+ sylables? I don't expect or want a beauty queen, and I don't want someone who is drop-dead gorgeous, and I don't want someone who is loaded or is a airhead. Frankly, I would *really* like an ordinary girl, who can just be herself. Too often I find that girls are like washroom stalls, the good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped. Is there something which I am missing? Its not like I'm a malformed kid, nor am I shy, i *think* i'm smart, but then again, i really dunno. Someone fill me in why there isn't an abundance of intelligent females. Why do I whine you ask? Well, it seems that females have a way of inadvertantly hurting me without knowing. For example I constantly end up being "emotionally-clusterfucked" on a bi-monthly basis. Its like they don't see me as a guy, I presume that they see me as an "nice person who we can treat like ass". I don't allege any abuse, nor do they use me, but they just have this thing of hooking up with people other than I. Jealous you ask? If you were in my place wouldn't you be? In the honest-question-department...First, you say you're looking for "an ordinary girl, who can just be herself." These, I assure you, do not exist. You must look for an ordinary girl, or a girl who can just be herself. Ordinary people are actors and actresses. Second, someone who can just be herself, hrm? I'm going to make an assumption here, that you don't walk up to girls, complain about your relationship problems, call yourself "emotionally-clusterfucked," and compare them to washroom stalls? May I assume that when around the ladies, you act friendly, sociable, etc? If my assumptions are correct (hey, I could be wrong), why are you looking for a girl who can just be herself? You're doing anything but that yourself. As for jealousy, no. Your desire leads to suffering. Eliminate your desire and you will not suffer. But that's way beyond what you're looking for, I imagine. Hussain,The intelligent, ordinary girls tend to be the pissed off ones standing behind the girls you actually notice. You think this only happens to guys? Oh, and for years I've been telling the joke "Why are men like parking spaces? All the good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped." Works better than the bathroom analogy.  Look, I'm pretty smart, I can be pee-your-pants-funny at times and I don't think I'm too completely hideous. I have more male friends than I know what to do with. I fall for some guy, flirt a little, we get to talking, I think he's awesome and we become best friends. And I get to spend several years pining away and listening to him talk about other girls he finds attractive. I'm "just one of the guys". There's gotta be a reason this happens, but I haven't figured out what it is I do. All I know, is it has happened more times than I can count. I don't know how old you are, but I'd say if you're chasing high school girls, forget it. No one acts normal in high school. College gets a little better. But look for a girl you'd want as your friend and you may improve the odds of getting one that won't treat you like an ass. I wouldn't expect miracles though. I've been kicking myself for 2 years now. I met the perfect girl, and didn't date her or anything. Way I thought - no car and no money = not a good way to spend time with her. you know what works for me with girls? err.. nothing. it's incredibly hard to meet new girls without looking like a stalker. especially when your faculty's female student population is only about 30% of the whole. i still have no idea how i actually have a girlfriend now. someone likes me up there, i guess.
