What I want to know is how close most of you are to Green River and what kind of news coverage you get whenever a prostitutes corpse shows up that has the same M.O. as the Green River Killer? I did, however read The Stranger Beside Me. Her story of how she never suspected Ted Bundy of the crimes even though she worked with him for over a year. At night. Alone with him. I prefer writers like Dr. Michael Baden, Robert Keppel, Colin Wilson. If you get the chance, read The Making of a Serial Killer by Danny Rolling. Rolling is the Gainesville slasher who raped and murdered 4 women and murdered one man on a college campus in Gainesville, Florida. Now this is a fascinating book. It's pretty pathetic that such a big city with so much going on has headlines like, "Mother Duck and her ducklings crossed TV Highway this morning. Drivers are patient and enjoying the show" And "The mysterious dog killer has struck yet again. Police are baffled" I mean, dogs are sacred and all but Jesus Christ! Give me news for God's sake! So to answer your question, if there were any news, I'd have to look really hard. And I'm pretty lazy. So no. But speaking of sensationalist, my fave serial killer profile book so far tho is "The Shoemaker" by Flora Rheta Schreiber (remember "Sybil"?). It's all about Joseph Kallinger, who believed god told him he could reform/save the world from their perversions by making the correctly fitted leg braces and orthopedic shoes for everyone on earth......whatta guy! And I get a big kick out of the fact that this 'serial killer' thread is so far mostly chicks- Eod, you're odd man out! IP: Logged

Bex Delicate Flower	posted 04-24-2001 20:45 I used to have the hots for Chris Knight (Bryce) which probably explains my repeated choice in nerdy guys. That said, I also thought Matt Frewer was tasty. That jawline.. Yow. I wish they hadn't cancelled Max Headroom. The dialogue/story lines were the best! The sets were unique, the characers were original. What'd they replace it with?
