I haven't the fainest about who it is by, it's not on Napster. I just know it was the absolute most soothing half hour long ambient piece I've ever heard. IP: Logged |

Koki,Except for Michael Jackson, I have at least a greatest hits compilation, if not a real cd for your 80's favorites. I also have the Go-Go's, Erasure, Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Olivia Newton John and a couple more. One of my favorite gifts was the double cd soundtrack to the Wedding Singer! I forgot to add Enigma to my favorites list. Especially the first two cd's. The first is bar none the best makeout cd I know. -Bex IP: Logged |

Dammit! Bruce Springsteen!!! I can't believe I forgot him. I love him. Have the box set, posters on my wall (yes, I am an adult) and everything! Geez. This top five thing is completely impossible. BRUCE - please forgive me..On another musical note, Portishead and Radiohead are both pretty damn good make-out CD's. Must be all that "head"... ------------------ One for sorrow two for joy Three for girls four for boys Five for silver six for gold Seven for a secret never to be told [This message has been edited by kokinolimoneiki (edited 04-28-2001).] IP: Logged |

Amazon - I used to like Metallica too, until the whole Napster thing, Lars is a whiny bitch. We went to see them in Kansas City in 94 I think, with Candlebox and Suicidal Tendencies (fucking excellent in concert), and again a few months ago at the Experience Music Project with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Chili Peppers, and Filter, it was cool even though each band only played for aboot 20 minutes, the Chili Peppers came out in socks, it was fun. as far as music goes though i personally think that the best makeout music would be a mix of u2, sneakerpimps(softer acoustic stuff) radiohead, poe, smashing pumpkins(soft old stuff) and probably a bit of soundgarden (their acoustic and soft songs are absolutely stunning, like zero chance, fell on black days, ect...) and maybe some type o negative at the end stuff like green man and the such.... possibly modern english in their tooIP: Logged |

Sneaker Pimps is excellent soft ambient stuff, but you gotta be careful with it as regards makeout music - a lot of it is just too damn depressing, really.I dunno how it would be for "makeout" music, but for "turn me way the fuck on" music, try Poe & Mark Danielewski - Just Another Drive. (A lot of people know this song as "Hey Pretty", so try that too.) Napster, of course, has gotten around to filtering Poe - so you'll have to fire up Gnutella or Napigator or Audiognome or some such. But believe me, it's well worth the hassle. Note: somebody needs to make a fucking Gnutella client that interfaces with IE. It really pisses me off that right after Napster finally did browser integration, they filtered everything worth linking to. Dammit!
