I think Fen went to Japan because, um, what's "average" here is "extraordinary" over there. Or possibly, he just went there to get the hell away from me. In any event, here's a fun fact: Fen has never (to my knowledge, and I think I'd know) dated a girl who wasn't Asian. So, he may be doing this as some sort of fetish-fulfillment. On the other hand, he may just be a Nip-o-phile.------------------

Oops, this was posted right before I went on vacation. The short answer is that I wanted to study abroad before grad school, and a buddy of mine in college had studied in Japan and was always talking about it. So I took a language class, then found out how much my buddy had paid, and decided to teach english for a year. Then I decided grad school could hang, and found that I could get a good job here largely without skills based on being bilingual, and the rest is history, so to speak.And weis is right, but all my girlfriends (all 3) chose me, not vice-versa. Weis was guilty of bringing the first one over to the house, in fact. So don't blame me.. THEY have a fetish for ME. :P fen IP: Logged | |
