Clme cake fiend	posted 05-03-2001 12:31 Well... its been four months but I finally got off my ass and coded some of the FAQ topics that have been coming my way for awhile. I'll be updating on and off for at least another week or two. Until then, it really can't be considered an "official" penIs FAQ. So, since a sample will speak louder than a dozen excuses, Here's the FAQ Test Page Please give comments on how it can be improved, or questions you would like to see included. There is even a very touching story about a couple, their neighbors, and three refrigerators... Clme cake fiend	posted 05-06-2001 18:49 I updated again last night, and the FAQ seems to be fleshing out a little bit. I seem to be having problems with "defining" penIs staff members though. How does one define "mightymon" for example? Do I say something like: Who Is Mightymon? Mightymon is a PenIs poster who joined the staff in January. He likes goats and customer service. He also likes to service customers with goats. Or should I go more along the lines of: Who is Mightymon? Mightymon was born in ** the son of a poor farm couple. They died soon after he was born during a hunting/gathering trip in the Louisiana outback. Mon was found, dehydrated and starving, by an aboriginal goat herd. The goats took Mon as one of their own and raised him into adulthood. He was set to become the leader of the herd, but his lack of horns prevented him from besting the other males for breeding rights. Dejected, Mon rejoined civilization and moved to Oregon. Eod soon discovered him in a farm field talking to the goats and frolicking. After a brief conversation he realized that Mon had potential and asked him to become a poster on his website, PenIsMightier.com. Anyhow, I guess what I am saying is that I need a few paragraphs on each poster. Plus, leaving the definition of "clme" to myself is rather biased. (Something besides black and green?) --Different font? --Different spacing between entries? --More porn? Oh.. and I dont know flash anyhow. I think that's part of the reason I ended up with the FAQ I do have to agree though that it has to be both simple and pleasing to the eyes. I like the amusing faq better than the real faq... not that some real information shouldn't be included, but the long, drawn out story makes it a lot more interesting. As for colors and everything... I say, keep it colorless for now, and once the new design is finished, make it fit with the design (especially once the color-changing code with cookies is finalized). Adjusting to the format shouldn't be too difficult. Oh, and feel free to use my family tree pic in it if you'd like. IP: Logged
PeterWiggin Resident PenIs MC	posted 05-17-2001 01:39 EOD im not saying make it extravagant, just maybe some chill rollovers, a nice font, nuthin gaudy. ie, the back to contents and back to PenIs buttons, could be a little flash insert. The names for each link could be a flash template fla to make each new link. maybe some backround action. a large wireframe Pen... Isn't a good idea. but maybe some modification of that cool little motherboard greyish thing on the main site face. cIme.. a new font would be cool. but the page serves its purpose... and its pretty funny. if you have any ideas hit me up and ill try to make some buttons or sumpthin..
