Any of you guys out there know a good program to download mp3s, cause napster is all ruined when ya try to type in a song name that is reserved.

I used to use scour-net, but after that went down they came up with that new scour beta, which I don't know about because it says "all legal", which probably means "all gimpy" in reality.

I heard gnutella was good, but I goto www.gnutella.com and ain't nothing there... is that the right URL to use?

help me out. I'm looking for the best one with the most diverse mp3 findings and largest pool of users.

Your time is appreciated, more so if you respond.

audiogalaxy.com works wonderfully... interface is better than napster, too. Rumer is that the client has spyware attached; just get ad-aware to remove it and it's great.

http://www.infoanarchy.org
has info on where you can share files. there's no gnutella.com, it's a concept of file sharing is all...

I'd say www.gnucleus.com but Koki already mentioned it. But go there! My friend who made it said he would like to see more people using it. So use it!

Uh-oh, there goes eod plugging Filetopia again...

Besides, BearShare has spyware galore as well as already having at least one (that I know of) virus written specifically for it.

Well, if not Bearshare, why not Limewire? I thought that virus you mentioned was written for all of Gnutella, not just Bearshare? Gnutella seems to be the best way of getting everything, many of the other programs seem to just for things like movies.

Could always try kazaa (http://www.kazaa.com) .. Musiccity, which was the driving force behind napigator for a while left opennap and moved to those guys.

But anyway, I am still waiting for the napster clone some guy is setting up on Sealand. At least that way he wont be able to get shut down by the RIAA or MPAA or anthing else to that effet.
