Hey, whats with that timelimit on the BBS. I was playing some TradeWars and I was suddenly kicked out, with a 5 minute warning.
Finally after I found my addiction, some one is taking it from me! Give me back my tradewars dammit!  IP: Logged |

I'm using SWATH, recommended by Shelly. No crashing here.. I'm very pleased with it. Not that I would know, cause I played TradeWars for the first time in my life today. And it's the most addicting game ever,,, now shoo shoo.. go away, so I can play... IP: Logged |

My GOD do not for any reason use Attac. Especially do not pay $28.00 for it based on some shitty online reviews. It appears to not work if you have ping times of more than say..oh.. 200ms.Although, if you dont want to heed my advice, they do have a trial version you can use and watch it now work. Dnapalm swears by SWATH, and I've also heard good things about TWAR, but it sounds as though its not liking eod right now FaRaN: It kicked you off because it (the BBS) is set to reset and do daily file maintenance at a set time every day. It will kick you off every morning at that time, sorry. -Chris IP: Logged |

And to bring back some of the old bbs flavor it got hung up in trying to exchange dovenet messages. Would you guys at all be interested in the dovenet setup? (Like fido net but for excisting syncronets)I'm now using swath instead of twar. Twar works and isn't horrible but swath is a bit better. IP: Logged |

I tried TWAR but couldnt get in a port longer than 4 chars... It didn't accept 31337 . How did you do that dear Eod? No matter though, I got my SWATH now.[This message has been edited by FaRaN (edited 06-01-2001).] IP: Logged |

On another note, I tried some other TW severs 'out there' and I came to the conlusion that PenIs really has a terrible connection from over here....
But it's much more fun to know your opponents a bit, and chat with them. Oh and please be kind to cemtex, he was just testing, and I was watching over his shoulder saying: "Get Eod! Get Eod! MwhAHAHA, ohw... that didn't do much damage.."

Mmm... tasty Trade Wars newbies... er.. I mean.. Um...But we ARE kind to the newbies... you notice that eod didn't kill him right away? We wait until the newbies are slightly more powerful, (and slightly less new) and then rape them for everything their worth So... rest whilst you can... Then you had better either watch your back, get a good strategy, or team up with someone powerful. For those of you who haven't checked it out yet, play the BBS.
