When I was 14 the big computer nerd 'in' thing were BBS's. Mudding was a real joy back then. You had to use your damned imagination cuz it was all text... God i'm glad those days are over and now I can become addicted to things like Mir.

Text games on the BBS's of the late 80's had to be that way since we were using 286's and 1200 baud modems. Oh, and amber-screen monitors. I remember thinking a guy I knew was the shit when he got a 486 and a 9600 baud modem. When text would scroll FASTER than you could read, you could nearly feel the wind in your hair.

If you couldn't tell, I'm going to be 29 in August. I almost have one foot in the grave, except the young guys around here keep me feeling youthful.

I'm 18...

I enjoyed the old 2400 baud modem I had way back when. Good stuff... waiting 10 minutes for a reletively small zip file [ compared to today's, anyways ] to download while being in an AOL (_(V)_)ass (_(V)_)ail Private Room :P
