I'm sure I'm thorouhgly pissing off Jimbo by offering a thread not requiring any actual discussion. Favorite books, everyone?Dune - Frank Herbert Dune Messiah - Frank Herbert Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (All of 'em) - Douglas Adams I, Robot (As well as the rest of the series) - Isaac Asimov Foundation (Again, the entire trilogy) - Isaac Asimov Mars - Ben Bova The Languages of Pao - Jack Vance Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton That's all I can remember for now. ------------------ MontyWorld Because in a world of cheap thrills and low IQs, a little knowledge can go a long way. Masturbation is fine. But if the extent of your sexual experience is a handjob, you're fourteen. A handjob is generally when you're being masturbated by someone else. ------------------ Reverend Rob IP: Logged |

Yes, it's actually encouraged for you to like giving blowjobs. Doubly with webcams involved.Btw, prez: Jurassic Park? WTF? It was an okay film script, but literature? Crichton is a shite writer, plain and simple. If movies didn't exist he'd be an unknown failure. IP: Logged |

I liked it. I thought it was better than the movie, which was actually somewhat cool itself. And on an unrelated note...why do so many people add an 'e' to 'shit?' IP: Logged |

diamond age was alright, but i like cryptonomicon so much more. anything by tom clancy rocks my world, but that isnt exactly "literature". dune, of course, but not any of those cheesy overdone sequels. the lord of the rings trilogy rates up there pretty high. i think a better question than "what's your favourite book" is "who is your favourite storyteller?"
who do you feel can really cause you to becomes enamoured with the story, to really get into it? before there were books, there were storytellers, and that's a skill that seems to have gone by the wayside in the past fifty years or so. i would say that tolkien is a great storyteller, in the tradition of old. Crichton has done some innovative stuff, and some real CRAP. But I thought the book for Jurassic Park was actually better than the movie.IP: Logged |

Shite (pronounced shy-eeet) is used for much the same reason some people say 'bloody' favourite etc etc etc.
Its british (you can also subsitute australian), maybe a little cooler, outside of the norm, and you are required to say it with an accent. And on an unrelated note... why do so many people begin sentences with and? Or or for that matter. And why do the people at the drive through window always mess up the change? And why is it so hot outside today? Whats up with that? IP: Logged |

:: stubbornly staying off the hashed-to-death "official topic" ::I should also mention that, if you've got a girlfriend with D-cups (or a really small torso and C-cups), the good ol' Hawaiian Muscle-Fuck is tops for the occasional "wild night." (It can be done with smaller breastisses, but if they're much smaller than that, it's really more of a foreplay thing than a complete sex act. Still a big turnon though. ) IP: Logged |
