Faran: 11Mbit (120 meters effective range) or 1Mbit (550 meters effective range) in most cases. We sold a Cisco Aironet (wireless hub) to a customer of ours. They use it for a couple of laptops, and like it a lot.

These things work though (most) walls just fine. It's the "for home use" wireless ethernet products that suck.

stereo on top many speakers
monitor
lots of shit (empty glass's, lots of candles, 200+ cd'r's, my keyboard and mouse, my graphics tablet, scanner, printer, tower
recliner)
behind my comp chair(recliner) tv and psone. =)
