Like MS never laid anyone off. Truthfully, they don't do that often - so much of their work force is contractors that they can cut 20% without having to announce them as "layoffs".

Jesus christ what a crock of utter SHIT.

Dammit, I've always been one of the few geeks that supported MS... but that's becoming more and more difficult to do anymore.

Stupid-ass licensing programs that disable your whole fucking computer if you replace your video card, insanely yellow-rag journalism that ACTUALLY FUCKING STATES "your company’s stock price is plummeting to new lows while yet another round of layoffs is in the works" - I thought CPF was making that up! Oh no...

sigh.

Somebody needs to segment computer operation into "layers" like networking is, so that applications are designed to interface seamlessly with an "OS layer" regardless of what actual OS you use...
