I work at a University. I also go to school here.
It is a fairly large college with one large problem... Many students and faculty, but few parking spots. Solution? Build a 4 story parking garage. But let's be idiots and build this garage in the summer when it is rainy season so we get held up past our due date.
September is when school starts? Oh, no, we aren't finished with the garage!
Now, next to my building (Mental Health) is the Law school. THOSE students get special priveledge and can park in OUR lot! What does this mean for our students and staff? They must park in a field a good distance away. Problem: When it rains, the field is marshy and cars WILL get stuck.
So, people are making thier own parking spaces. Parking in places they should not, like in corners and off to the side, and in walkways.
I totally agree that they should be ticketed.
Yesterday, they began to TOW the cars! How wrong is this?
True, it IS a fire hazard, EMS hazard, whatever. But I feel like this is just WRONG!
Why does this bother me when I don't even have a car? Just goes to show what kind of place I work for.

DON'T accept a plea bargin. Tell them you were messed up on drugs and didn't know wtf you were doing, probably get a suspended sentence. IP: Logged |

Draw pictures of law students dying grisly deaths as they park in the lot that you would park in if you had a car. Post them in your cubicle/office/pen and see if you can get fired. (Then sue for 8.6 billion bones.)Why the hell does this bother you if you don't have a car? -3 IP: Logged |
