Well, my roommates and I tried making some beer last night. We'll see how it turns out in the next month or so. I doubt it will taste that good.

The story of how my roommate got the brewing kit is kind of funny. He is going into education and got it from a local high school teacher. He said he felt wierd picking up the brewing kit in the high school parking lot.

So we start making the beer last night and the hops mix said best if used before September 30, 1996. So its 5 years expired, but we are dumb college kids. So, if I quit posting in a month or so, I'm probably dead.

Pretty cool.. My father, Uncle and Cousin all brew beer. My cousin puts them all to shame, he actually works at Redhook and comes home and brews his own kegs of homebrew.

My dad has a homebrew kit, and we've made beer a few times. I think it's nasty (I've never liked beer), but I could drink gallons of wort.

As for being a dumb college kid, I ate some pork of questionable status last night. It didn't smell *bad*, but something wasn't quite right... The taste was a little off as well. I'm still alive, and I didn't get sick or anything, so I guess it was okay...
