On December 13, 1998, horror struck the Mackle family like a run away coke machine. Young Kevin Mackle, a freshman at Bishop's University, was crushed by the coke machine in his dorm. It seems that young Kevin's blood alcohol content was above the legal limit, and he decided to shake a coke out of the coke machine. The vending machine of death, then toppled on him, and he was left for hours, lying beneath this terrible, life taking machine.Now his mother has started a campaign: http://www.cokemachineaccidents.com/ whose sole purpose is to place the blame on someone other than her stupid assed son, who was drunk at the time. This is becoming insane, I feel for the family for losing their son, but JESUS CHRIST!! It seams that we are in the middle of a stupid epidemic ------------------
Fun Fact: If you laid all the stupid people end to end around the world, 75% of them would drown.

Bet that ruined the Mackle family's Christmas that year. (Ducks)Who the hell was the sadist who put "Open bottles slowly" on the machines that have bottles?
If you open the bottles slowly as opposed to quickly, you stand a better chance of it... what's that called?... overflowing.

Actually, this whole don't shake the pop machine has been going on for a while. I think they are supposed to have warnings too. Cranky people take out their rage on top heavy machines that eat their quarters and they get smushed. Happens frequently.Now we had a guy when I was in college who either thought it was a good idea or had friends who thought it was a good idea to put him down a many stories long garbage chute. I heard an urban mtyh/rumor that someone burned his pen in an overly hot McDonald's Pie after watching American Pie. My first thought was "oh god here comes another frivolous lawsuit against McD's" and my second thought was that he had a budget-sized pen. Those pies are pretty small. My one youth-trauma involved McDonalds apple pie.When I was a wee lad, there was a McD's commercial on tv where a little boy bought his parents some McD's apple pie. Of course, the tv parents were very pleasantly surprised and very proud of their little boy.
Me, being only six or so, emptied my piggybank to buy my mom and dad some apple pie, hoping to get the same reaction.
It didn't go down very well. They hated it. They thought the apple pie was disgusting. (they're right about it being disgusting, but hey, I was six dammit, they should have acted!) They broke my heart that day. I told that story to my mom a few weeks ago, 21 years later. She never knew. I got a pair of shoes out of it.
