My rear window was busted in, my cds (mostly burnt ones), my amp, subwoofer and box and headunit stolen and what’s worse is they tore my dash up and my backseat is soaked from the rain. The cops came and I filed a report and I guess someone had hit up a bunch of other cars in the neighborhood also. Since the numnuts left their wire cutters and screwdrivers in the car they had the Police send a unit out to dust for finger prints and to analyze the tools.
Things got shitty that day real quick.. I won't bore you with the details but I do have pictures for you but alas I am to lazy to resize them so here is a big directory dump of the pics of the damage.

house, not car. five angry black men stormed the place. Was watching the simpsons. Ever been pistol-whipped; eight staples. Like a bad NWA video. Made off with 700 cash, my fucking m100, a spindle of playstation games, a dv deck with a hour of an original interview. Sucked

ouch dude, those pics hurt me on the inside.Well, if there is any place for shit to go down, its at my university. Their solution to on-campus cars is to dump all of our cars into a single area (Lot 6) and the adjacent gravel paved overflow (appropriately named Lot 6 overflow) area. And when I mean every on campus car, I mean every god damned on campus car in a single place. No cameras, no roving police patrols accept for the usual po-po drive by every few shifts, nothing to prevent shit from going down. Just a big ass light every few meters. OOoOH. That outta keep the bad guys at bay. Cars getting fucked up/bashed in/stolen/broken into is more of a 'when than if' thing for this place. Thankfully, more security measures have been slowly implemented, but the occasional vandalism case still gets by. Since a living on-campus Freshman+/fucker can apply for a long-term parking spot, the problen has only intensified due to the sheer overload of cars now. To be honest, I cant blame them. Three years ago the system worked rather well, but they need to fix things quick as its getting heavily out of hand. Anyway, that's my rant. I suppose it was triggered due to the fact that I have a 'target' car (well, compared to some of the rest out there. I mean, would you hit up a 94 red pontiac sunfire with some extras or a rusty 87 Dodge Dart?)

fuckers...some bastards broke in to my 1979 volvo a few years ago... They took my 4 year old $100 Alpine but left a wrapped wedding gift in the back seat. the San Francisco po-po wouldn't even come and take a report. fuckers... Nice ride. Just got my car broken into, thankfully the cocksuckers just popped the lock and stole my portable CD/MP3 player with all the hookups for the car stereo and lighter power converter box. Also took two CD's but left the ones I'd tossed in the backseat (I think because of the empty cigarette packs that were sitting on them)."Bunch of savages in this town."

We had a thief come to our house years ago ... the first car he tried to steal was my old nissan PU, which was missing a battery, clutch, and 1st and 2nd gears (I guess I was a little rough on it). Managed to punch a hole in the drivers door and destroy the plastic around the ignition switch before realizing this was not a functional mode of transportation.So the dude heads to my friends 66 bugeye sprite, gets in easy (ragtop) starts it easy (no key required) starts to back up, and pulls the steering wheel/connecting rod out of the steering box. He left it halfway out in the parking lot with the doors open, and the steering wheel was tossed quite a distance from there. Wish I could have seen it hehehe IP: Logged |

I had some mother bitch bust into my car, try to steal my head unit, thought it was a removeable face (it's not) and busted the faceplate trying to get it off. I had the trunk switch locked, but he just pulled on it until it broke and opened the trunk (fuckin' honda). Didn't steal my subs or amps though, I think it would have taken to long to get them out as I had them installed to make it hard to steal. things ive wanted to work onconsidereing the resonate frequency of the skull is approx 400hz,,,,
1) when car alarm is activated, mega-system 2000 will blast sine wave 400cycles/s which will give an incredible headache to the thief,, woot,, or if you had huge low ported boxes (and subs that could actually reproduce waves that low, correctely and accuretely) i would burp some 10hz waves and the thief wouldn't hear a thing, cept for everything in the car flexing 4 inches,, well he would turd and puke all over ,,, end of that,, ne ways

Some jackasses broke into and stole my 94 integra GS-R. The cops found it a few days later, so I went down to the impound lot to check it out. When I saw it, I nearly fell over. They had busted the driver side window and the steering column (how clever of them). My shifter knob, headunit,subwoofer,amp, 50+ CDs, etc. etc. were all stolen. And to add insult to injury, the pricks managed to do SIXTEEN THOUSAND dollars worth of damage to a car worth about nine thousand.The cops managed to catch the fucker, and I got a letter from the DA's office a month or so later. Turned out the guy was 17 years old, and charged with "receiving stolen goods". What bullshit is that? Could our legal system be any worse. He was sentenced to six months of probation, boo-fucking-hoo. I'm sure that taught him a lesson.... IP: Logged |

Co-worker of Weis here, and he knows this story, but last spring one of my cars was stolen right out in front of my apartment complex. I had it parked on the street out front that week, and my bedroom window even looks out on where the car was. When I went out in the morning to the car, the water was still on the ground from where the condensation dripped down....so looks like the pricks beat me by about 45 minutes or so. Was a PoS 85 subaru too, just my 4WD car for when winter comes. Who the hell steals a 85 subaru, anyway? I figure it either got parted out, ditched somewhere, or it's in mexico. heh.IP: Logged |

my old PoS 92 chevy lumina was getting repaired, and while it was at the shop, some guys broke into like 4 or 5 cars in the lot, waiting to be repaired. All had cd players etc, well mine i just had a chepo $150 cd player.Turned out for the better b/c it was the guys shop's insurnace who covered it, so I added a few things to the list, my amps etc (that I took out b4 I dropped the car off) Few months later, the check came - $1250 Ohhh boy was I happy....hehe, I did lose my radar dectector tho, which they didn't cover becaause it wasn't bolted down, oh well I made $1000..... Same thing happened to me last year. EXACT same. Stole CDs, headunit, broke back window, tore up dash, i had an alarm, didnt do shit, left tools in my car, they dusted them, insurance wanted me to pay 1000 deductible because it wasnt a "normal" break in and they only took my aftermarket radio. They dont cover cds either. Ya that would be a whole lot, seeing they took all my CDrs...

Ya know, after looking at the pictures of Eod's car... I came to two conclusions.1. That sucks hardcore after looking at what they did to his car. 2. His car is ugly. The thingy that actually sits in the dash that you do stuff with while you sit in the driver's seat. Generally contains a radio and either a tape player or a CD player, but not always. Usually also contains an integrated op-amp, which in the case of anybody who calls it a "head unit" is usually bypassed in favor of sending line level audio to amps under the seats or in the trunk.IP: Logged |
