Anyone see the results last Friday when the mayor asked for the reduction of the number of NYFD at ground zero cleanup?
11 idiots NYFD arrested for breaking police lines. The NYFD protesters would not leave the area until they sang god bless America. Give me a fucking break. There are milking the whole WTC disaster.Is there any one of you who would NOT have gone through that rubble to save people of you had authorization?
Botton line is: ALL of us would have if authorized. As the brother-inlaw of several fireman, allow me to reveal the most prevelent behavior patterns for a fireman. This applies
to MOST firemen I have met. 1) MOST of them have ruined their marriages
by fucking around, therefor fucking up the kids.
2) They think they are hearoes, when in fact most of them have done jack shit.
3) They ALL drink to the point of making fools of themselves.
4) The took the job because they could not get a "thinking" job.
5) they will all cover each other's ass (tight little community of liars). ANYONE who knows firemen, knows the above
descriptions are true. So now they have the limelight and their true colors come out, it was just a matter of time.

(wretching uncontrollably) I can't believe I agree with Marcel! I have friends and family working for or volunteering for various FDs, and most of the above are true for all of them. Of the lot, only one has ever actually gone into a burning building.

Not ALL firemen are like that, Marcel, but I'll agree that a screamin' hell of a lot of 'em are. Same goes for paramedics and EMTs.The phenomenon is called being a "Rescue Ranger", and additional symptoms beyond the ones you mentioned include mounting K-mart sirens on top of rusty ten-year-old Celicas (and/or rusty and/or garishly custom painted light pickup trucks), never setting foot more than 20 feet away from an operational emergency band scanner, and taking copious amounts of (personal) pictures of people who met with gory deaths.
