hey all,
long time listener, first time caller. I was curious if anyone could recommend some free webcam software that doesn't suck? I'm just interested in periodically stamping and uploading an image, and i'm drowning in shitty VB shareware. thanks

Hmmm one that doesn't suck.. yeah thats a hard one.. I normally use iSpy, which sucks.. I just work around it..IP: Logged |

I've had spectacular results with two programs:ConquorCam http://www.conquercam.com/
and
Microsoft Media Encoder http://www.microsoft.com Both are freeware (well... conquorcam is shareware that never expires, has no restrictions, etc). ConquorCam can stamp images and text and upload, or even run as a server. Media Encoder can't, but, it can provide live streaming video at 30fps, if your bandwidth can support that. IP: Logged |

Um... We actually do not have a new host...The time pen was down before was do to a sudden, unexpected, unplanned for server move on the part of UGO.com
How a server move can go unexpectedly is beyond us...

yeah, about half of the time i've been on here today, the message board is only loading the headers, and sometimes it's even choking on those :/
