I'm doing an journalism story on Internet2, citing a astronomy project being conducted between a professor here and in other universities as an example of the potential I2 will bring.

Anyway, in a *very* short summary of what they are up to, they are studying the expulsions of certain gases from the center of galaxies. They theorize that these are materials/gases/etc exiting due to some kind of involvement of black holes near the center. Vague enough fore ya? I'll be digging up more info later as I finish my report, but I found it interesting.
