I've found so far that the easiest way to eliminate the flashing banner ads and pop ups (without installing an ad or pop-up killer) is as follows:

If you're using Internet Explorer:

--Go to the "Tools" pull down menu.

--Select "Internet Options"

--Click on the "Security" tab

--Select "Restricted Sites" then click on "Custom Level"

--Disable ALL Javascript, ActiveX, and Cookies (even per-session cookies). Basically Disable anything it lets you disable.

--Click "Ok".

--Click on the "Sites" button.

--Add the following sites:
mediamgr.ugo.com
image.ugo.com
(The above are important for UGO sites, all the following are for other common ones)

*.x10.com
*.admonitor.com
*.admonitor.net
*.bonzi.com
*.clickagents.com
ad.doubleclick.net
ads.msn.com
*.spylog.com
*.valueclick.com

If your using Netscape4:

--I cant help you with ads, but its time to party like its 19101!!!
