This friend of mine who just moved back to town has been working for a moving company down in silicon valley. Anyhow, his company would get called in to clear out office space or a building ... basically a get rid of all of it we don't give a shit what you do with it, just make it disappear kind of a deal.He went back for a 24' U-Haul and a tow dolly full of kit. If anyone is interested I'll make a list and put it up sometime soon. Among the booty, a sapphire fiberoptic cutter (apparently there is cable and hubs etc. to go along with it but I haven't seen it yet), a few powermacs, a bunch of pc's, some spark stations, cat-5 up the wazoo. Worst case scenario: Wack ass lan partys, digging thru the hard drives of a dead dot-com, catching a buzz IP: Logged |

I also live in the bay area and would be interested in a sparc... the guy who runs my webspace/old friend is still a sysadmin at Sun (I worked there as a temp) and I can probably get the latest version of Solaris if you guys need it.

woo...sparc stations... would love one too. Not sure how that would get from the Bay to up here in the NW, but I know I will be moving my GF back up from there in a month or two, so I might be able to help with the transport of something. heh.SG PS: I figured I might as well start posting here some more, and for those who have no idea who I am (meaning everyone) I happen to work with Weis, and listen to his rants and raves and all that shit, as well as peruse the site, so wtf. why not join the discussions too, right?
