I know that this is a really off topic but I was wondering if someone at this forum might be able to help me out.My father is a mechanic and he was wondering if there was a site that listed shop/repair manuals for just about all makes of cars online for free. These manuals are fairly expensive, roughly $40-60 a piece and there's no sense in purchasing a whole manual when he only needs it for a little while. If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it. By the way, this forum is awesome. With the exception of the person named KetcupRAT, he sounds gay.

Most public libraries have automotive manuals (like a Haynes or Chilton manual).I've never been able to find one online before. If anyone knows of a place I'd be glad to hear it too.

Hahaha. I never knew there were rats whose native environment is a processed tomato product, but hey, I guess I had to learn something new this year. Might as well get it out of the way early on. ------------------ I CASTS THE SPELLS THAT MAKES THE PEOPLES FALL DOWN! So...What that link says, is to check your library, or buy a manual. Gee.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it seems like it'd be right up your dad's alley, figuratively speaking. Their links page seems useful, but I'm no expert.------------------ "I steal teeth from kittens to make necklaces for Satan." IP: Logged |

The Man has this part of the internet locked up tight ... I have yet to find a repair manual available online, and it chaps my ass. Your best bet for an online resource is to find the page of some nutball who is into racing whatever beater you are working on. I found this d00dz page vainly searching for Datsun info. The library is where it's at, they even gave me free copies on 11*17, I just wish they would get on the stick and put em on the web. IP: Logged |
