is it just me or are saturday morning cartoons really sucking as of the last oh, i dunno, 5 or 6 years??

remember transformers? or TMNT??! come on, those are cartoons! none of this pokemon shite.

danger mouse was cool as hell. as was banana man.

also, the action figures of today really suck too...bring it back to the old school GI joes or even *gasp*
battlebeasts

oh yeah, and another thing. thundercats!

Thundercats was the single most influential piece of media of all time... at least to me. I love 80's shows because of the positive messages at the end
"Confidence is half the battle!"
"We should use team work to solve all out problems!" - "Yeah Liono!"

Damn there's not much to find on Jace and the Wheeled Warrionrs except this link with little info and the very tacky intro mp3.
Great show though.

I've got 2 tracks off the transformers movie. How do you upload to the pen ftp.

Also, don't forget about the Dukes of Hazzard!

SNARF!

Fuck She-Ra. I agree with eod. Fuckin butch bitch.

And what, a show about Holy Rollers? WTF are you talking about, Lam?

I fucking miss GI Joe. Now that was a show. And the Transformers. Often I'm glad I'm not growing up now (At least, glad that I'm not between the ages of, oh, 6 and 12, right now) because waking up on Saturday mornings to watch....Pokemon? I don't even know what crap they play these days but it must be crap. Even Spiderman, which is kinda cool, has Peter Parker calling Aunt May "auhnt" instead of "ant" May. Wtf? "Auhnt"? What are you Peter, some sort of stuck-up British gentryman? Oh christ that pisses me off.

Aren't we forgetting someone? Voltron maybe? =)

Has anyone ever heard of the "RockLord" action figures? When I was little, my mom didn't really buy me that many action figures, and the ones I did have were all the "cheap ones" I asked my friend the other day if he ever had any and he laughed at me. I'm thinkin they weren't that big of a hit.

i too still have a rock lords action figure.
aparently, there was also a rock lords movie which also starred...guess who...you'll never guess, so i'll tell you...the go-bots!!

i had go-bots toys too, but they were never as cool as the transformers i had...*sigh*...the 80s.
did anyone ever watch the show sky cammandos or something like that? it was about these guys that used ropes to get around cause their planet was all high cliffs and stuff...

i also had these toys...starcom. they were spaceships with little guys with magnets in their feet...currently the little guys reside on the light fixture for the oven in my parents kitchen. fun stuff.

Go Bots... They rock. Hmm, does anyone have any commercials for 80's shows/merchandise? GI Joe action figures were great, until their rubber bands inside broke and then it was like vietnam in my toy chest.
She-Ra.. bah, the only cool She-ra I knew was in 8th grade... she was so cool.
anyway...

sky cammandos I remember that sort of. Can't really remember the show but I remember recreating the show more or less with legos and string attached to furniture and stuff. much fun if a bit hard to move around with all the string.

nother show I liked was robotech which was released in a dvd set not long ago I think.

linkxors

there was even a snippet on slashdot when this was released. i never really cared a whole lot for robotech, i was way more of a GI Joe/Transformers fan.

Being a bit younger, I don't remember a whole shitload about Transformers, other than I had a few when I was little... but I was a die-hard Real Ghostbusters fan.

OOOOHHH SHIT! i forgot all about the ghostbusters!!! the real ones...with egon and ray stanz, and winston, and venkmann!! not the shitty ones with the damned monkey or whatever it was...that was lame.

i also remember the kid who turned into the car...but memory fails and i don't recall the title...it was the shit though. kid carr?? maybe something like that?? i think about that show kind of more than i should. i used to love it. i mention it to people and they think i dreamed it...i have issues.

remember the visionaries?

and wasn't there a knockoff or a precursor to them there were little druid-like guys with holograms for their entire bodies. they weren't visionaries cause there were only 8 figures of those made, and they were all human. hmm...

[edited cause i forgot about the visionaries]
