I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, and I'm going to deserve it. So it's cool. That said, no I don't know anyone who works for Microsoft. Nor did I know anyone who works (worked) at the WTC, or for that matter I don't know anyone who works in Afghanistan. I think you can see where I'm headed with this, what I seem to be reading is it's ok to screw someone over or blow them into tiny pieces if you don't know them personally? IP: Logged |

Personally I think it depends on their past actions. (And this is not a good analogy but I can't think of anything better right now.) For example, let's say, due to your own clumsiness and stupidity, you stub your toe on your desk chair. You would be an idiot if you set that chair on fire for being in your way, when really you were the one who didn't avoid it in the first place. Especially if this chair was in a dorm, like say mine, and setting the chair on fire would cause all sorts of issues with my friendly housing office.BUT, if someone/something is repeatedly inconsiderate and evil to you, such as all the stuff Microsoft does, which I personally have no experience with but I can see everyone else's point who has, then yes, I think it is okay to get revenge in whatever way. That's not to say I agree with every single person who wants an optical mouse getting free ones. If it's a small enough group that Microsoft wouldn't really notice, then no big deal. Thousands of people would be bad. If anyone is going to flame me for this, please leave out the fact that my chair analogy sucked.  IP: Logged |

As much as I hate microsoft, a company with a decent RMA policy is a good thing. The more we abuse it the less likely we are to actually RMA a product we did pay for without having to go through fucking hoops..
Like the IBM rma setup.. Close to a year to get your fucking replacement cause they want so much shit from you..
