Ahh hell I may as well come clean tooI've been working for Puzzling's folks up the river for the last couple weeks, installed a set of cabinets and cleaned up the firewood area outside, and burned roughly 4 tons of scrap/rotten wood that had been an eyesore for years.
I was staying up there some nights, which saved me gas money. Saving money is nice, since they don't really pay me much. But hey, they're family, right? And there are other perks to work up there, one of which was getting to hang with Puzz again after a year or so of not seeing him.
Puzz told me during the day Sunday him and his mom had another blowout, and she said she didn't want me up there overnight anymore. I told him it was no biggie, I'd just have to raise my rates a little to compensate.
Well, they rolled in Sunday evening and didn't see my truck ... they weren't quite high-fiving but they were saying something to the effect of 'Yay, no Lon two nights in a row!' Puzz's kid (11) walks into the living room and sees me, turns around goes back in the kitchen and says 'huh huh make that one night' which caused Puzz's mom to laugh hysterically.
I was pretty damn hacked off, not to mention sore and sweaty from chucking a giant pile of river rocks and splitting wood, so I grabbed my shit and walked out without saying a word.
Long story short I've been a pretty foul mood since then, until Puzz finally stopped by today and straightened a few things out. But the experience put my panties up in a tight bunch, not to mention working up there almost every day since a week before christmas and making 100 bucks out of the deal added injury to the insult.
Of course he was saying how his mom feels terrible about the whole deal, well no shit dude you can't even find a Mexican to work as cheep as I was, it sucks to scare off a bargain I guess.
Shit I feel like I should have made the first line of this post say Dear Diary, what a bunch of crap.
