DAVIE, Fla. -- Police are responding to a shooting on a South Florida college campus that has sent two people to the hospital.
The shooting happened around 10:45 a.m. Friday at Broward Community College's central campus located on University Drive in Davie. The college said that the incident was the result of an attempted murder-suicide. A spokesperson said that a black man shot a white woman, then turned the gun on himself. Witnesses told police that the man showed up on the campus and shot his girlfriend. The shooting happened in between the college's performing arts building, Bailey Hall and Building 5, which houses the English department. The man was taken by helicopter to Broward General Medical Center. An ambulance transported the woman to the same hospital. The two buildings near the shooting scene have been evacuated. Broward Community College's central campus is located next to Nova Southeastern University and the Miami Dolphins' training camp.
Classes Canceled In Two Buildings
Broward Community College has canceled classes in the two buildings near the shooting scene. Students who have classes in buildings 5 and 6 on the central campus do not need to report to class.

Update:Apparently both people are dead... Good. I didn't want to pay for the man's upkeep in prison and/or death penalty.
