the thing about ren and stimpy was that (and i could be wrong about it,) there wasn't any cartoon anywhere near as unique as what they did back then....i mean, fuck, they started up and shortly afterwards (or around the same time,) the focus of the simpsons switched from Bart-as-bad-child-who-does-amusing-things to Homer-as-everyman (which is what makes the current shows as good as they are, imo.) check out the first season of the simpsons and you'll see a lot of "ay caramba!" shit from bart and homer is basically just window dressing, whereas now he's the main focus of the show.i've never seen family guy so I can't say. (i just stopped watching tv in like 95 or 96. the last thing i watched semi-regularly was mst3k and popeye (see toking thread).) IP: Logged |

this is the reason I watch cartoons almost all the time I watch tv, that and I'm a kid at heart. cause sitcoms and such suck, music videos and the movie channels are good too depending whats on.some shows I'm waiting for new eps. are stargate
farscape what makes these good shows compared to other ones is they are scifi which lets them have have cool special effects and there story setting lets them be in different locations each ep. later
