For the life of me, I can't see how this differs in ANY WAY from people sending email to AOL users from non AOL accounts.

You would think that a company would like to IMPROVE the quality of it's service by adding useable functionality for it's customers, but I guess I'm off base here.

(Yes, I understand the real reason for AOL fighting this, but it still amounts to p00p for AOL users.)
