http://www.penismightier.com/eod/Gram32.exe that file, its a pretty ez to use spectrograph analyzer then get this mp3 Aphex Twin --- Windowlicker (symbol / eqaution) mix

once you have both
convert the mp3 to a wav in winamp
then load gram32,exe
go to File / Analyze
select the aphex twin wav file (you converted) pick 1024 FF and make sure you select the BW (black and white) PALETE!!
then click start!
hahaha look at the end
how sweet is that!!!

btw you can do a File / SCAN FILE and listen to it play as it does it definetely worth checking out!!

also if you get any errors
like memory error
try running the scan file first stopping it and then try analyze or just do the SCAN FILE (not the analyze) CAUSE ITS SOO AWESOME

for fuck's sake...i'm sure it looks cool...but when the transfer rate is 987BYTES/sec....no thanks...granted i have no where to go, but still...i hate my school and their fucking bandwidth chopping....don't they realize that there's approx. 3000 kids here?? you can NOT fit 5 pounds of shit in a 2 pound bag....------------------

there's others in other aphex songs. there's a program (forgot the name, but I have on disk somehwere if someone wants it) that lets you draw stuff and will "translate" your drawing into music/sound. nifty stuff.listening to I Am Kloot (recommended from Neil Gaiman's site. They kick ass; very poppy, kinda like early dEUS, if anyone knows who they are...or maybe some beatles type stuff.) IP: Logged |

for those who are getting pretty red x's like me, the original pictures are:face from equation song from windowlicker the original spectrograph picture another image from the same song. i jacked those links from http://www.aphextwin.nu/learn/99906995499023.shtml but http://www.cgocable.net/~jzawisza/aphex/ has some other cool aphex info.

awesome aphex video but it's realvideo. sorry. (wish i had a fucking .mov or .avi of it.)well, i've refreshed the fucking page --not from my cache, but from the actual site(s)--and i'm still getting little red x's. I even tried putting the fucking URLs of the images in a differnt browser (mozilla, i'm using IE now) and all i get is "X" all the time. so there you have links from an aphex website.

this is from an email list i'm a member of. i recommend the coagula stuff. it r0xx0rs. and peter wiggin, the granulator program is a MUST HAVE if you're going to add textures to your hip hop. quote:

there is one proggy called coagula. maybe that's the one you mean, since it has drawing tools. http://hem.passagen.se/rasmuse/Coagula.htm
(you might want to check out granulab from the same guy, just in case you didn't know it)
there is another program calles b&w (for bimaps and waves) which was simply called "bitmap player" in earlier versions... this one works differently, namely with fourier... it can also convert sound to bitmaps... (try this with something rythmical, i.e. a drumloop, and import that bmp into coagula... funny results) http://www.webcenter.ru/~vsoft/BitmapPlayer.htm
