god damnit2 more versions released today 0.723, 0.724 god damnit AOL levae us alone, I dont care if yOUR Paying for the servers and if they ARE your servers, stop picturing me in that cute lil red dress you like ...GRRR
so i petition that to keep THINGS STRAIGHT, and and to keep up on redownloading/installing everyday, that we call the program name, the date.
ie. instead of ver. 0.724,
we would have
feb 7th, 2002 = version 02.07.2002

you know...i like trillian, i really do, and i wish AOL would stop fucking with it, but i only use AIM with it, and well, i already have AIM on my comp. i don't really see any reason to continue to deal with the hassle of downloading new fucking versions every day, or twice a day. i think AOL, being the larger comany, has more resources. if they really wanted to, they could sue trillian for using their servers. i'd rather use tirllian, but until this whole business stops, i fucking quit...AOL wins.there's nothing trillian offers that i can't get from AIM. except for a multiple client interface-whatnot...but as i said above, i only use AIM...ICQ sucks, and none of the people i used to talk to on yahoo remember me...and FUCK MSN. ------------------

yes but when you've used ICQ since many years ago, and you have a few hundred contacts,,,,then thats why i still use ICQ
also,ICQ eats up more ram than fucking my OS
AIM still eats up another 5mb somehow?!?!?
and trilian total is onyl like 6mb-10mb GRR

i used to use ICQ, it was my first instant messenger thingy, i still have my numer and everything...yet, none of my contacts show up...i tried it through trillian, and on its own, and it didn't work. no one at my school really uses ICQ, and i'm not too into meeting new random chatter folks... incedently, i just saw xclus get booted twice in the past 15 minutes. i've been on the whole time with regluar AIM. i'd rather use trilian for its convenience, but right now, it's not so convenient... ------------------

since im such a nice guy and all ill show you how to get it workingReconnect to AIM with Trillian. Then left click the AIM ICON and click "Join a Chat Room". Type in a Random name. Bingo, all set It took like 3 trys but it does eventually work. Im using .724 as well IP: Logged |

Incidentally, I see Xclusive get booted all the fucking time (on Trillian anyway). AIM is behaving very nicely for me... right now I'm only using Trillian if AIM is acting up and I need a backup. And I'll probably just stick to AIM until this whole situation gets sorted out (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA).IP: Logged |

I only got an AIM ID after I got trillian. If AOL keeps this up, fuck 'em. SmarterChild is the only AIM contact I have that isn't also on another messenger service.IP: Logged |

trillian's autologging and transparency and aliasing of buddy names are the main attractions for me. I really find the transparency useful, and the autologging has allowed me to post several embarrasing admissions from lamfear, e.g.:Session Start (AIM - discogravy:lamfear1337): Sun Feb 03 09:12:10 2002
