I was informed today, thanks to my sickly state and zombie viewing of TV, that eating cereal with a fork is 'odd'
I also like peanut butter and pickle sandwichs
but seriously - is it odd to eat breakfast with a fork? I have never seen anyone use a spoon or knife for eating cheerios or shredded wheat. I can understand a spoon for oatmeal, but other than soupy hot cereals I dont understand it. Do other families use spoons?

umm, forks are for stabbing food, spoons are better equipped for scooping, as any (normal) person would do while eating cereal...so as to get milk along with the cereal...i have a friend who uses forks to eat ice cream. i always used spoons growing up. i could actually understand using a fork over a spon for oatmeal cause my oatmeal isn't usually all that soupy. *cough cough coughcough HACK cough*

*edit* not that there's anything wrong with eating your cereal with a fork...and i like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches too...especially sweet pickles...or the butter ones...i don't know what they'er called...the butter pickles...thin, sweet...whatever...too many ellipses...damn this was a long edit. tired. *cough * i'm sick.
umm...it's late.

I have never seen anyone eating cereal with anything but a spoon, with the exception of shredded wheat.

And this isn't as weird, but I like peanut butter and banana on toast for breakfast.

My girlfriend's grandmother got her eating grilled cheese and peanut butter sandwiches.

I think that's pretty odd.

Well, since several of you think peanut butter on a grilled cheese is good, then I will bow to public opinion and maybe try it some day.

Funny how that works, my girlfriend thinks it's great, but it takes a random group of effective strangers to convince me.

From what I have heard, raw potatoes actually contain a low-grade poison that can be bad for you. Cooking them alters the structure of the posion so it isn't bad anymore...or some shit.

I like raw potatoes with a little bit of salt.

Are potatoes poisonous in the same way that sacharine is poisonous? I mean... it would take ungodly amounts to actually kill us?

yeah i think its the same thing as sacharine and apple seeds, would hafta eat ur weight in raw potatoes prolly. i like raw potatoes, raw turnips too. i like peanut butter on rye bread mmmmmmmmm. also i used to make myself grilled cheese and dip it in ketchup, it was really good when i was young, but now i think its pretty gross, oh well. also pinapples and peanut butter are good. i like my sumbwich with mayo, barbecue sauce, southwest sauce, spicy beef, lettuce, jalenpenos, pesto, sun drid tomatoes, onions and green peppers, and lots of pepper, no salt, salt is horrible, i hate salt... but that is the best sumbwich in the world

as i understand it, the poison in a potato is in it's eyes, so dont eat the eyes

i like to eat french fries dipped in mayo. an australlian showed me once, and it's tasty.

and vietnamese chilli sauce tastes good on absolutly anything.

and uncooked dry ramen is tasty, if you mix the seasoning into it, and you can eat it with your fingers, but then you smell ramen on your fingers for the whole day, like that time you and betsie-mae went out to the barn and you showed her what you could do with your fingers and a bit of persistence. didnt your mom tell you about those kinds of girls?

actually, potatoes with green skin have cyanide in them. As any good *insert apprpriate herbology term* -ist could tell you potatoes ARE related to deadly nightshade, which is deadly if eaten, so deadly it can make you dead. Seriously

anyway, forks are better cause then you dont drowned on milk when you just want cereal, and then you can drink your milk afterwards. ALSO, if there are no clean bowls, and you use a tall glass forks dont need as much room to maneuver in. I have concluded that it is 'odd' in that the Normal (average) person doesnt have the common sense to do what I have been raised to do... =)

*edited because serial and cereal dont taste the same, but do sound the same.

I got these cool bowls for my kids... they have a straw that starts at the bottom, and peeks up about an inch from the lip. They eat the cereal and ten drink the milk through the straw. Neat idea. Too bad i don't eat cereal.

I had a theory that you become an adult when you start eating non-fun foods for breakfast. It just seems odd that one day, a person would decide,
"you know, breakfast is way too fun. I had better start eating, oh... Muselix for breakfast."
But now I am taking a real interest in raisin bran simply because I don't want that blast of sweetness that comes from super golden crisp (remember when it was SUGAR golden crisp?) every single day at this moment in my life. Needless to say I am nowhere close to being an adult. Maybe some people are fated to never, ever become adults.

Now I think you become an adult either when you:
-actually take responsibility for your life or the life of others,

or

-auotmatically do those things you know you have to do, but put them off anyway. Like bills, rent, showers, etc. Although, some people are born with this ability, and I want them killed for being naturally superior to me.

I know a girl who eats cereal either dry, or with water, but never with milk.

In fact, she never drinks milk.

Maybe this girl is lactose intolerant?

Barring that, maybe she is fun intolerant?
