Seeing as how I begin working 3rd shift next week at HD, I think that my sleeping schedule will take an interesting turn------------------ "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not even sure about the universe." -Albert Einstein- IP: Logged |

14 sweet hours for me.sorry for the gloat, but I feel much, much, much better now, like those blind guys that overcome all obstacles and eventually sing opera well enough where they are the best blind opera singer in the world, but still a mediocre opera singer. IP: Logged |

My earliest memory from childhood is sneaking down the hallway to see what was up ... sometimes I'd make it pretty far before I'd hear GET YOUR ASS BACK IN BED AND GO TO SLEEPIt has been all downhill from there, my clock seems to be on a 30-36 hour variable cycle ... last night for example, had the best Valentines Day I can remember, etc etc blah blah blah, finally get settled into bed. Hour and a half later I'm still lying there staring at the ceiling getting pissed off at myself, arm pinned to the matress thinking a smoke sounds good but not wanting to wake anyone up or go outside and get cold and more awake than I already was. Finally fell asleep around 6:00 this morning, got a call from a bud at 9:00 and the alarm went off at 10:00 ............... I've tried Trazadone, Melatonin, Nytol, Nyquil, sex, asphyxiation, counting sheep, saying 'nothing nothing nothing' over and over in my head to shut out the constant stream of crapola it spews out ... only thing I can count on is beer. Nothing else works. In other words 'yeah Im up at 3AM sometimes, occasionally two days in a row' IP: Logged |

Have you tried hypnosis tapes? They seem to work with me.------------------ The United States is a nation of laws: Badly written and randomly enforced. -Frank Zappa IP: Logged |

Actually, it gets better. For some semi-related stuff, I've been seeing a doctor recently. and having sleeping problems. So in my stellar sleep-deprived mental state, I totally forgot about the prescription for Ambien sitting in my wallet. I can't wait to get THAT shit filled. I'm also going to go out and buy some 5htp, which xclusive was talking about in another thread. I saw decent things about it somewhere, so i'll alternate that and the ambien, to try to avoid dependency on either. -3 IP: Logged |
