What is bluesky? It is a twitter replacement right? I don't like format of twitter much.
I do intend to make a Mastedon account but really social media in general with the algorithm feeding me just like bite sized content is becoming uncomfortable.
At a glance bluesky is a twitter alternative. A couple high-profile accounts like Neil Gaiman have moved there, and are pulling it along by sheer force of will, but it's not very big yet due to being invite-based.
But underneath, I think bluesky is some kind of federation deal similar to mastodon. I think you can run your own servers, or follow mastodon invites from bluesky, or maybe that's just roadmap? I haven't looked at it in depth.
Anyhoo I'm fenomas there, but I don't think I've.... bleeted (?) anything.

I think it's blued, as Tobias funke famously said, "I just blued myself"
I made a conscious effort to find more local, sane people to follow on bluesky. It's basically a hugfest where I rejaculate skeets. I try to spend most of my day not posting anything unless it really moves me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I used to let the internet offend me a lot more than it does today. I got to the point where bad posts felt like being slapped in the face with a fish. Fuck you for trying to make me feel something! I would hope that all of us can recognize when we're being manipulated, and gird ourselves against it.

I keep getting invite codes. So if anyone here wants one just let me know and I can hook you up.
I was recently banned from Facebook for three days. Yet another reminder of why I am low-key hoping that most social media companies fail.

I've heard a few people call them "Skeets" but the CEO apparently begs people not to say that. Which, well, had the opposite intended effect.
However, I refuse to call my timeline a skyline.
